Assessment Analysis
This analysis highlights how structured assessment practices can reveal meaningful growth in both student understanding and artistic skill. By examining pre- and post-assessment data from my paper quilling unit with 6th graders, I reflect on how students developed technical knowledge, engaged with new materials, and build confidence through hands-on artmaking. This reflection also informs my evolving approach to assessment as an art educator, emphasizing the importance of balancing conceptual understanding with observable skill developmet.
